Yes, except for our exam prep course. TREC does not regulate exam prep courses.

We promptly submit your course credits to TREC electronically for posting by TREC to your account once you have completed a course. We will also email you a course completion certificate when you complete an SAE./Qualifying course, as required by TREC, for your records.

Yes. We created this benefit for students who want to apply what they have learned to their real estate practices. The course material will normally be available for 90 days. Please be aware that quiz and exam questions, if required, cannot be reviewed once taken (per TREC Rules).

Yes you can, provided you are not logged in on more than one device at a time. For example, you can log in on your home computer, log off, then resume on your iPad or office computer . The key is to properly log off one device before you login on another.

Our web site and courses are designed to be as simple as possible. Almost any personal computer with an Internet connection works just fine. Many license holders have taken our courses on their iPads.

1. Take your continuing education courses before your deadline; and
2. Go online and pay TREC to renew your license (www.trec.texas.gov)

You will need either SAE/Qualifying courses, CE courses, or a combination of both.

For your FIRST renewal, TREC currently requires:

• 90 hours of SAE/Qualifying courses, including the SAE/Qualifying Brokerage course; and
• 8 hours of CE, consisting of Legal Update I and Legal Update II.

For your second and all subsequent renewals, TREC currently requires 18 hours of CE courses, which must include:

• Legal Update I and Legal Update II;
• at least 3 hours of contracts coursework; and
• Broker Responsibility if required by TREC (if you are not required to take Broker Responsibility, you may choose the remainder of your CE hours).

ALWAYS make sure of what you need before registering for any continuing education by looking up your TREC profile at: www.trec.state.tx.us/continuing-education-renewal-information.

TREC considers the deadline for license renewal and completion of continuing education requirements to be the last day of a license holder's expiration month before midnight Central Standard Time. For example, if your license expires 12/31/2025, you must complete all continuing education courses on or before 11:59pm CST 12/31/2025.
